The Assisted Living Association of Alaska’s roots trace back to 1993, when a small group of providers came together to give assisted living homes a voice in Alaska.  What began as a small group from a specific area has since grown into a full-fledged nonprofit organization that serves the entire state.

Members of ALAA are individuals who provide services to the seniors and individuals with disabilities who reside in assisted living homes.  The board members are all administrators or assistant administrators of those homes, and our mission is simple: to create a unified voice for those served in assisted living homes, to increase the quality of assisted living by developing standards of care, to provide opportunities for continuing education, to advocate on behalf of residents and providers as is necessary, and to create a proactive and positive relationship with our legislators and with the State of Alaska that will be to the benefit of the populations that we serve.
